The National Coordination Office of the Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Support (APPEALS) Project has commenced a Pre-Mission exercise in participating states ahead of the World Bank 7th Implementation Support Mission (ISM) scheduled to hold in December 2021.

The Pre-Mission exercise is holding simultaneously with three teams covering the three states of Cross River, Kogi and Kano. The exercise will be replicated in the remaining three participating states of Enugu, Kaduna and Lagos in the days ahead.

The overall objective of the mission is to review project implementation progress across all project components to ensure that the project is on track ahead of the World Bank’s support mission. The Pre-mission is also to provide implementation support to the project teams in all areas of critical concern and to agree on the required actions and activities that would facilitate the successful achievement of the Project Development Objective (PDO).

The pre-mission activities include progress report presentations, technical sessions and field visits to farming clusters, Commodity Interest Groups, SMEs etc. that are being supported by the Project across the priority value chains in each participating state.
