The Kogi State Government has held an interactive session with selected beneficiaries of the Women and Youth Empowerment Programme (WYEP) under the APPEALS Project.

This followed the successful conduct of a screening and selection process of interested and eligible applicants into the programme held earlier in Lokoja in compliance with the Project’s Guidelines.

At the interactive session held in Lokoja, the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello assured the beneficiaries of government’s continued support in ensuring the success of the scheme and the inclusion of other unemployed youths in the state with genuine interest in farming and agribusinesses.

Gov. Bello used the occasion to present the selected beneficiaries with their letters of enrolment. Among the 1700 beneficiaries to be empowered are Women, Youths and People With Disabilities & special needs.

The State Project Coordinator, Dr. Sanni Abdullahi Ozomata emphasised that the APPEALS Project in Kogi state is in alignment with the Agricultural Transformation Blueprint of the state and called on all stakeholders to support the successful implementation of the Project in the state. #APPEALSng
