A 5-Day Interactive Workshop on Communication Tools and Strategy for key staff of the APPEALS Project has opened in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The essence of the Workshop was to build the capacity of key staff of the project, so as to equip them with the skills necessary to steer the project in a measurable direction for meaningful communication of implementation outcomes and outputs; and to deepen stakeholders’ engagement, alignment and communication outreach at all levels.

Declaring the workshop open, the National Project Coordinator, Mr. Mohammed Sani Jobdi noted that Communication plays a key role in the overall success of project implementation and urged all the participants to take full advantage of the various technical presentations and participate actively in the interactive sessions to sharpen their skills and improve in the performance of their duties, so as to contribute meaningfully to the achievement of the Project Development Objective.

The Workshop is featuring learning modules on Strategic Communications, Stakeholder Relations, ICT and New Media, to be facilitated by seasoned professionals as Resource Persons.

Participants at the workshop include Component Heads/Specialists from the National Coordinating Office; State Project Coordinators; Communication Staff; Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Specialists; Management Information System-ICT Officers and Rural Infrastructure Engineers amongst others.
