The World Bank’s 7th Implementation Support Mission, ISM of the APPEALS Project kicked off today in Abuja with a Plenary Session and Technical Meeting held at the National Coordination Office of the Project in Abuja. The Mission is being led by the Project Task Team Leader and World Bank Senior Agriculture Economist, Dr Adetunji Oredipe.
The Technical Meeting was attended by NCO Management and Project Staff led by the National Project Coordinator, Alh. Mohammed Sani Jobdi; officials of the World Bank, Representatives of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning, and FMARD Projects Coordinating Unit, PCU.
During the technical meeting, the Progress Report and updated Result Framework of the Project was presented, with highlights of implementation progress made across the five components of the Project and across the priority value chains recorded in the participating states and at the national level, since the last mission/Midterm Review held in February 2021.
The Mission will hold in all the participating states to assess the overall implementation progress and performance of the Project across the board. A draft Aide Memoire will be prepared and discussed with the Government at the end of the Mission.
