A 3-day implementation progress monitoring meeting of the World Bank Task Team and the implementation teams at both national and state levels was held from February 1-3, 2023 in Abuja.

The meeting, which was led by World Bank Task Team Leader, TTL – Dr. Manievel Emmanuel Sene had in attendance the Co-TTL and Implementation Completion Result Report (ICR) TTL – Dr. Oyedikachi Chidozie Anyiro; National Project Coordinator – Alh. Mohammed Sani Jobdi, NCO Management Members and relevant support staff; State Project Coordinators and relevant staff from all six participating states.

Addressing the participants during the opening ceremony, Dr. Sene said the meeting was to assess implementation progress of the time-bound action plan and activities developed for the project closing, building on the main findings of the 9th Mission across the six participating states. He added that the meeting would also focus on the Project Implementation Status and Results, and priority activities for closure which include making sure that all initiated implementation activities are completed before project closing.

Earlier in his remarks, the National Project Coordinator, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Jodi appreciated all the project staff for their contributions to the implementation of the project and urged them to double their efforts for the successful completion and closure of the project. 

The 3- day interactive meeting also looked at the overall project implementation status especially the infrastructure works and all critical activities expected to be completed before the project’s closure. The meeting also examined the grievances redress mechanism put in place, key financial management, procurement and safeguards, project impact evaluation as well as harmonization and documentation of improved demonstrated and adopted climate smart and nutrition-sensitive agricultural technologies across the eleven priority value chains.
