The APPEALS Project in partnership with The Journalism Clinic has organized a 3-day hands-on training on Crisis Communication and Reputation Management for key project staff selected from the National Coordination Office and the six participating states.

The training, which had a thematic focus on the successful closure of APPEALS project, was declared open by the National Project Coordinator, Alh. Mohammed Sani Jobdi; and delivered by lead Trainer – Taiwo Obe and his team of resource persons with vast experience in various areas of expertise – including media management, public relations, stakeholder & reputation management, social media management and crisis communication.

The key objective of the workshop was to arm relevant Project staff with the knowledge, communication skills and tools in the effective management of crisis for the sustenance of the Project’s good reputation.

At the end of the workshop, participants were trained on modern strategies in crisis communication and how to engage stakeholders more effectively, with clear and consistent communication.

The National Coordination Office and the six participating states of Cross River, Enugu, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi and Lagos were in attendance.
