The 10th Implementation Support Mission of the Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihoods Improvement Support, APPEALS Project, scheduled to hold from 3rd – 17th July, 2023 has commenced today in Abuja.

The mission, led by World Bank Task Team Leader – Dr. Manievel Emmanuel Sene and his colleagues from the Bank held a hybrid opening session at the project’s National Coordination Office (NCO), Abuja with key stakeholders in attendance.

The National Project Coordinator – Alh. Mohammed Sani Jobdi, NCO Management and staff, relevant MDA representatives including the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – FMARD; FMARD Projects Coordinating Unit – PCU; Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget & National Planning; State Project Coordinators and staff of the participating states and other stakeholders participated in the opening session.

The main objective of the mission is to assess the project overall implementation status across all components towards the project closing date of September 30, 2023 and to update the agreed time-bound action plan for the project’s successful completion and closure.

The mission, which is scheduled to move to Lagos State on Tuesday, 4th July 2023, will cover some other participating states and end on July 17, 2023.
